Bone Grafting Costs
Bone grafting may extend the length and increase the cost of dental implant treatment. Dr. Larson and his staff will gladly collaborate to develop the optimal treatment plan for your needs, schedule, and budget.
Dental Implant Cost
The total cost of treatment derives primarily from the expenses associated with the implant itself and with the replacement tooth or teeth, although these fees vary greatly. Dr. Larson and his staff will gladly collaborate to develop the optimal treatment plan for your needs, schedule, and budget. Unfortunately, dental insurance plans rarely cover implants.
Costs ~ as of January 2008
- Mandible or Maxilla: $1950. Additional charges may apply as listed below.
- Bone Regeneration: $750. Insufficient bone in the implant area may necessitate bone regeneration techniques at an additional charge.
- Sinus Elevation: $1850. A large sinus preventing implant placement must be filled with bone.
- Osteotome Elevation: $850 plus. Sometimes, when the sinus is large but there is some bone for implant placement, the floor of the sinus can be pushed up with this technique allowing for proper implant placement.
- Wide Diameter Implant: $250. Wide diameter implants are useful in areas where there is not a lot of bone height or in supporting larger molar teeth.
- Narrow Diameter Implant: $250. When there is not enough room for a regular diameter implant, a narrow diameter implant is used. Even though this is actually a smaller piece, it is more expensive.
- Coated Implant: $250. Coated implants are more costly and used in soft bone to promote closer bone adaptation.
- Special Surface Implant: $250. Like coated implants, these implants are used to promote close bone adaptation in areas where the bone is soft or weak.
Restorations
- Crowns: $1650. The restoration or "Cap" used to replace a missing tooth or a series of missing teeth.
- Abutments: $550 plus. The part that connects the implant and the restoration.
- Overdentures: $5550 plus
- Complete Denture $4250 plus. A removable restoration that attaches to implants. It is made of acrylic resin. These restorations vary considerably in expense.
- Overdenture/metal $6500 plus. Part of the acrylic resin is replaced by metal for greater strength and a thinner restoration.
- Hybrid: $14,500 plus. This restoration is permanently held in place.
- Attachments: $650 plus. Various attachments may be used to anchor overdentures.
- Bar $3900 plus. A bar might be added to a removable restoration for greater stabilization.
